Originally from Arkansas, DeLance is the son of a saxophone player and a telephone dispatch operator, which gave him his artistic gift of gab. In High school, he was an all around athlete, playing football, baseball, and running track, but after playing Leroy in Fame his senior year, he realized all the sports were just an excuse to perform in front of an audience. He decided to act and never looked back.

Since then, DeLance has toured Germany as a Back-up Singer/Dancer with BMG Music, toured the Mississippi Delta as a Storyteller, performed Greek tragedy at the world renowned Moscow Art Theatre, performed fraternity stepping on stage in Vietnam, and served as the Assistant Director of Living History at the Historic Arkansas Museum. He has performed in many regional theatres across the U.S, and was nominated for a “Best Actor in a Musical" award in Memphis, TN.

After leaving Arkansas, he spent time in Chicago and New York City, honing his craft and gaining experience, before deciding to attend graduate school.  DeLance is now based out of New York after graduating from the American Repertory Theatre/ Moscow Art Theatre Institute for Advanced Theatre Training at Harvard University.  He holds a MFA in Acting from ART/MXAT IATT and a BA in Theatre Arts, with Minor studies in Dance, from Henderson State University, and he is a member of Actors Equity Association and Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.
